Chemstations Joins the MathWorks Connections Program

October 28, 2024 – Chemstations, developer of CHEMCAD chemical process simulation software, today announces it has become a member of the MathWorks Connections Program.

The MathWorks Connections Program is available to third-party organizations that develop and distribute complementary, commercially available products, training, and consulting based on MATLAB® and Simulink®. These partner offerings address technical needs across a wide range of applications and industries worldwide with software and hardware products that extend the usage of MATLAB and Simulink. These solutions seamlessly integrate with MathWorks products and ensure ongoing compatibility in conjunction with new MathWorks releases.

This collaboration will leverage the strengths of both CHEMCAD and MATLAB to help chemical engineers design, control, and optimize processes easily with first principles and hybrid models. For example, custom unit models built in MATLAB can be integrated into a process flowsheet developed in CHEMCAD through data exchange between the two tools. The connection capability between CHEMCAD and MATLAB is available immediately, either through Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

MATLAB is a programming and numeric computing platform used by millions of engineers and scientists to analyze data, develop algorithms, and create models. Simulink is a block diagram environment used to design systems with multidomain models, simulate before moving to hardware, and deploy through automatic code generation.
