Chemstations Presents 2010 ASEE Chemical Engineering Devision Lectureship Award

HOUSTON, TX (July 30, 2010) - Chemstations, Inc., makers of the CHEMCAD suite of chemical process simulation software, are pleased to congratulate the recipient of the 2010 Chemstations ASEE Chemical Engineering Division Lectureship Award, Dr. Frank Doyle from the University of California - Santa Barbara. Dr. Doyle's work entitled "Research at the Interface of Control and Biology" was showcased at the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) 2010 Annual Conference and Exposition in June.

The ASEE Annual Conference and Exposition, held this year from June 20-23 in Louisville, Kentucky, is the only conference dedicated to all disciplines of engineering education. It is committed to fostering the exchange of ideas, enhancing teaching methods and curriculum, and providing prime networking opportunities for engineering and technology education stakeholders such as deans, faculty members, and industry and government representatives. This was the conference's 117th year.

"We've been fortunate and proud to be a part of the good work done by the ASEE, especially in advancing research and teaching in the field of chemical engineering," said Chemstations' Executive Vice President and COO Steve Brown. "We wish our winners well and look forward to hearing more good things from them in the future."

Last year's winner of the Lectureship Award was Dr. Antonios Mikos from Rice University for his efforts, "Building a Better Biomaterial." The 2008 winner was Dr. Jennifer Sinclair Curtis from University of Florida for her work entitled "Simulation of Particulate Flow Processes." A full listing of past Lectureship Award winners is available on the ASEE Chemical Engineering Division's web site.
